The house where the young couple was born is set to become a new home for the pair of Toronto parents.
After their daughter was born last year, the family bought a new house in Scarborough and are planning to move into it soon.
“It’s one of those places that you go and you can’t wait to get out and visit,” said Josh, 19, who was born and raised in Toronto.
“The kids love it.”
Josh and his sister Emily, who are both 15, have always wanted to live in Scarborough, but never thought they would find it as good a home as they did.
“You get the same feel in the backyard,” he said.
“I love the people, the food, the shopping, the people.
It’s a perfect spot to live.”
The family has also noticed an influx of international students, many from China.
“We’re trying to figure out where we’re going to live,” Emily said.
Josh and Emily said they’ll be spending their summers at the Toronto Botanic Gardens, the nearby Scarborough Science Centre and a community centre.
“At the end of the day, we’re not going to be doing the same thing we were before,” Josh said.
